Two More All-American Finishes Highlight Day Two in Ohio

Pisenti and Osburn earn All-American honors; Jessup finishes their first NCCAA nationals with a sixth-place finish

02/08/25

CEDARVILLE, OHIO – The final day of competition at the NCCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championship has come to a close from Ohio. With two more All-American finishes, the Warriors leave the event with four and a sixth-place team finish.

"To be at a championship with other like-minded teams that have Christ-centered athletic programs was a real highlight for us and the girls, and a chance to compete against teams that are competing for Christ in their athletic endeavors," said head coach Jeff Magley.

Magley also added that a big highlight was the Warriors' team finish. "We ended up finishing sixth place overall out of the 22 teams that were here. We thought coming in we had a chance to be in the top 10, but to go all the way up and finish sixth overall as a team out of 22 teams, that was definitely a great accomplishment for the ladies."

Jessup began the competition with two All-American honors on Friday, as Paloma Baumert and Jocelyn Pedretti placed in the top three in their event. Joining them on Saturday are Julia Pisenti and Aurora Osburn.

Pisenti claims All-American honors in the shot put, doing so with a mark of 12.68m. Pisenti placed third in the event. Pisenti also earned All-American honors during her freshman season at the NAIA Outdoor National Championship.

Osburn, competing in her freshman season, earned All-American honors with her third-place finish in the triple jump. Her top mark came in at 10.24m

Adding to the highlights, Paloma Baumert etched her name in the record book, breaking the 60m record with a time of 7.90. She narrowly edges past the record Erica Waseq set yesterday at 7.95.

"Overall, it was a good weekend for the ladies," concluded Magley. "We're excited to make that transition moving forward now into our outdoor season."

Jessup's first outdoor meet will be on February 22 at Fresno Pacific's Sunbird Classic.
