Senior Day Ends Jessup’s First Division II Season

The Warriors honored ten seniors before the game; Jessup ends its first Division II season with a .500 record

ROCKLIN, Calif. – An emotional ending to the 2024-25 season saw Jessup's five-game win streak come to an end on a day centered around ten seniors. With Fresno Pacific in town, the first Division II season in program history came to an end, as a 62-39 final capped off the finale.

Jessup exits year one in Division II with a .500 record of 14-14. Jessup could have finished .500 within the PacWest with a win on Saturday, but the loss sends them into the offseason sitting 9-11 in conference games.

The day began with the Warriors honoring ten seniors taking the court for the final time in a Jessup uniform. Those seniors being recognized were Janea Arnoldi, Brianna Byrnes, Makaila Glynn, Amari Guiton, Andrea Jovicevic, Jacklyn Kulow, Maddy Meadows, Natalie Moulos, Tatiana Newsome, and Kayla Vieira.

Glynn, Guiton, Kulow, Moulos, and Vieira are the five remaining players from the first recruiting class brought in by head coach Corey Laster in 2021.

Moulos led Jessup in scoring in the final game of her collegiate scoring, finishing with eight points. She went 3-for-3 at the charity stripe. Jovicevic added seven in reserve, followed by Laia Palá, who scored six in 15 minutes off the bench.

FPU controlled the momentum early as they outscored the Warriors 13-3 in the first quarter. They pushed that advantage to a 20-point cushion at halftime, eventually moving the needle to a 32-point lead after three.

The Sunbirds finished with three players in double-figures.

Jessup University, a provisional member of NCAA Division II, is ineligible for NCAA and PacWest postseason competition in the 2024-25 season. The Warriors will remain ineligible until their provisional period ends. Updates on Jessup's NCAA Division II membership status will be shared at jessupathletics.com as new information is provided.
