ROCKLIN, Calif. – The brooms came out on Thursday night as the Warriors picked up their second win of the season against Pacific Union. Jessup improves to 8-6 on the campaign as their inaugural season rolls on.
Jessup, the top-ranked team in the NCCAA Coaches' Poll, is 3-1 in home dates. Two more matches remain inside Warrior Arena this season.
Carter Depue led the Jessup attack with 11 kills.
Jan Lopuch finished behind him with eight kills on a .600 hitting performance.
Taylor Marks set up the offense with 20 kills, followed by
Riley Green, who finished the night with 10.
Jessup jumped out to a fast start with a 25-16 victory in the first set. They improved their mark in the second with a 25-17 victory. The third set again saw Jessup hold PUC to less than 20 points as a 25-17 finish wrapped up the match.
The Warriors finished with 33 kills to PUC's 13. Jessup finished with 12 aces.
Jessup will be back in action on April 1 when they welcome UC Merced to Warrior Arena. Jessup will return to the court the day after for Senior Day against Simpson.
