GRAPEVINE, Tex. – Jessup Softball is postseason bound once again as head coach
Brie Campbell and her crew are Texas bound for the NCCAA World Series. The Warriors have drawn the top seed in the eight-team field as they will look to round up a few wins and return to California as National Champions.
The Warriors have become a consistent figure in postseason action in recent years. Jessup qualified for the NAIA Opening Round in 2022 and 2024, with the 2024 team sparking a run that ended in the NAIA National Championship game against Our Lady of the Lake. With Jessup being ineligible for NCAA postseason action due to its provisional status, the university joined the NCCAA in the summer of 2024 to allow for postseason play.
Eleven players from the 2024 World Series team put on a uniform in the 2025 season as they will look to flip the script this time around and be the team celebrating on the final day.
Jessup finished the regular season with a record of 32-21. The Warriors placed third in the PacWest with a mark of 24-12.
As the top seed in the tournament, Jessup will take on the eighth seed first, Dallas Christian. That game comes at 1 p.m. (CT) on Monday. A win puts Jessup back on the field Monday night to take on either Fort Lauderdale (four seed) or Oakland City (five seed).
A loss on Monday would put Jessup in an elimination game on Tuesday against either Mid-America Christian (three seed) or Geneva (six seed).
Sterling College and Southwestern Christian wrap up the field as the two and seven seeds.
All eight teams will remain in the hunt heading into Tuesday as the first round of elimination games begins at 1 p.m. (CT). The field will be cut to four teams heading into Wednesday, the final day of the tournament. Wednesday will begin with two semifinal games to determine the championship matchup. Should a team with one loss win in the championship round, an if necessary, a game will follow the same day.
The 2025 NCCAA Softball World Series will take place at Oak Grove Softball Complex in Grapevine, TX, a suburb of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Two fields will be used, featuring natural grass and dirt.
All games from Texas will be streamed live online (for a fee) on the
NCCAA Network. Live stats will be available, and fans can also follow @jessup_sft on social media for in-game updates.
