GREENVILLE, S.C. – One week removed from the first national championship in program history, four Warriors have been honored with NCCAA postseason honors. The release of the 2025 All-American teams sees three student-athletes and Jessup's head coach be recognized for their work in a championship season.
Head coach
Brie Campbell, who became the program's all-time wins leader in 2025, takes home NCCAA Coach of the Year honors. Campbell's Warriors went a perfect 5-0 during the NCCAA Softball World Series to cap off a 37-21 season.
The Warriors finished their first PacWest schedule 24-12, placing them third in the conference standings. Jessup's third-place finish was good enough to qualify for the PacWest Tournament; however, the Warriors were ineligible for NCAA postseason competition due to the university's provisional membership status.
Campbell houses a record of 169-104 in six seasons with the Warriors. She is a two-time GSAC Coach of the Year recipient, winning those honors in 2022 and 2024, respectively.
Joining Campbell with postseason honors are senior
Sarah Giles, junior
Maddy Ybarra, and graduate student
Madisyn Leffle. Giles and Ybarra were selected as First-Team All-Americans, while Leffle claims a spot on the second team.
Giles, a 2025 NFCA First-Team All-American, was the Most Outstanding Player of the 2025 NCCAA World Series. Giles batted .423 in her final collegiate season. She hit 17 home runs, drove in 75 runs, and recorded a .507 on-base percentage. The Hayward native made history in her hometown this season when she became the program's all-time home run leader. She closes her career with 43 home runs with the Warriors.
Ybarra, the 2025 PacWest Player of the Year, also earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team at the World Series. Ybarra hit .421 this season with 14 home runs, 68 RBI, and a .495 on-base percentage. The speedy Ybarra also closed the season 49-for-51 on stolen base attempts. Ybarra is the program's all-time leader in stolen bases with 109, and she will need six home runs in her senior season to match Giles for the most in program history.
Leffle's final season with the Warriors ended with a selection to the PacWest All-Conference team as she batted .429. Leffle stole 24 bases in her final collegiate season as she ends her Jessup career second in career steals with 78.
