ROCKLIN, Calif. - Jessup University women's soccer suffered their first conference loss to the University of Hawai'i-Hilo at Jessup Field on Monday, September 29, 2025. The Warriors fought hard in the Pacific West conference contest, but ultimately fell to the Vulcans, 0-2.
The University of Hawai'i-Hilo opened the scoring in the first half with a goal at the 31:17 mark from Mia Berney. Berney found the net again early in the second half, scoring at 51:15 to extend the Vulcans' lead to 0-2.
Jessup's defense held strong for much of the game, with goalkeeper Celeste Fernandez playing all 90 minutes and recording one save. The Warriors faced nine shots from the Vulcans throughout the afternoon.
Offensively, Jessup managed three total shots, with Gracyn Wilkinson leading the team with two shots, one of which was on goal. The team was challenged by Hawai'i-Hilo's defense, only registering one shot on goal for the game.
The Warriors (1-4-1, 0-1-1 PacWest) look to bounce back in their next appearance when they visit Biola University on Thursday, October 2nd.
