RENO, Nev. – The Jessup women's track and field team concluded its weekend at the Silver & Blue Invitational in Reno this Saturday. The two-day event was highlighted by a top finish from Angela Gladysh in the women's 3,000-meter run.
Day one saw several Warriors competing in the long jump, 60m hurdles, 60m dash, and the mile. Participants included Kayla Carpenter and Karsyn Leikauf in the long jump; Erica Waseq, Jocelyn Pedretti, and Leikauf in the 60m hurdles; Kimora Hill-Brown in the 60m dash; and Madison Sutton in the mile.
On Saturday, freshman Angela Gladysh secured a third-place finish in the 3,000m run. Gladysh crossed the finish line with a time of 10:51.49, placing third in a field of 13 competitors.
In field events, Jocelyn Pedretti placed seventh in the high jump with a mark of 1.47m. Other Warriors competing throughout the weekend included Aurora Osburn, Kimora Hill-Brown, Erica Waseq, Kayla Carpenter, Mary Stuart, and Juliete David.
The women's track and field team now prepares for the Nevada Invitational, held January 16–17 in Reno.
