ROCKLIN, Calif. - Jessup women's soccer forward
Karlee Lywandowsky has been named the PacWest Women's Soccer Player of the Week, the first player of the week honor of the season for the Warriors and the first awarded in women's soccer in the conference this year.
The San Joaquin Delta College transfer recorded only the second hat trick in the PacWest this season, scoring all three goals in Jessup's 3-2 victory over Westmont. Lywandowsky needed just four shots, three of them on goal, to produce the scoring outburst.
She got Jessup back into the match with a penalty kick at 66:30 to make it 1-1, then found the net again a little over a minute later to give the Warriors the lead. After Westmont equalized, the Brentwood native delivered the game winner in the 82nd minute.
The win was Jessup's first conference win this season in first conference matchup and first over Westmont since 2015.
"Karlee has been working incredibly hard since she arrived, and it was great to see that effort rewarded," said Jessup head coach
