Warriors Cruise to 7-0 Sweep Over Fresno City

FRESNO, Calif. — Jessup University men's tennis delivered a dominant performance on the road, shutting out Fresno City College 7-0 at the Fresno City College Tennis Courts. 

The action kicked off with doubles play, where Jessup successfully captured the crucial opening point. The duo of Henrique Levy and Marc Charlanne set the tone early for the Warriors, cruising to a commanding 6-1 victory at the No. 2 flight. The top pair of Lucas Pham and Leo Pham then clinched the doubles point by battling to a 6-4 win at No. 1. Despite a tightly contested 7-5 defeat for the No. 3 spot, Jessup took a 1-0 overall advantage heading into singles competition.

In singles action, the Warriors took complete control and showcased their depth, sweeping all six flights without dropping a single set. The most dominant performance of the afternoon came from Caleb Poling at the No. 3 spot, where he completely blanked his opponent with a flawless 6-0, 6-0 victory. Tanner Sitanggang followed suit with an overpowering 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4, while Marc Charlanne cruised past his matchup at No. 5 with a swift 6-2, 6-0 finish.

At the top of the lineup, Lucas and Leo Pham continued their successful afternoon. Lucas Pham comfortably handled the premier No. 1 flight, claiming a 6-1, 6-2 victory, and Leo Pham backed him up with a solid 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2. Rounding out the lineup and sealing the perfect 7-0 sweep, Anthony Rodriguez delivered a 6-3, 6-1 victory at the No. 6 flight.

With the decisive victory, the Warriors improved their overall season record to 2-5, while handing Fresno City College a loss that drops them to 7-6 on the year.

The Warriors will look to carry this two game win streak to Sacramento on Saturday. Jessup will take on Sacramento State at 2:30 PM on March 28th.
