Goodyear, AZ- This week, the Warriors traveled out of state for the final event before postseason, playing in the 2026 Women's Palm Valley Classic. 

The 36-hole tournament, hosted by the RJGA at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona, featured a full field of 27 teams from across the country. As a team, after a first-round 20-over-par (308) that left the Warriors tied for 16th, a second-round 9-over-par (297), which tied the program record team score, helped the Warriors climb three spots into a tie for 13th with fellow PacWest member Point Loma. 

Individually, Senior Jessic Burdick continued her solid play from the previous event, posting her lowest college score, 3-under-par 69. The former GSAC conference champion was pivotal to the Warriors' success in Arizona, finishing 3rd out of a field of 142 players. Freshman Natalie Ang also posted her lowest college score in the second round of 2-over-par 74, helping her climb 31 spots up the leaderboard. Julianne Canda continued her steady play with rounds of 78 and 75 to place tied for 58th. Senior Ayla Keith also posted two contributing rounds of 76 and 79, to finish in a tie for 80th. Sophomore Isabella Dowd rounded out the Warriors' scoring, finishing 35-over-par for the tournament.

Head Coach Seth Heppner commented on the team's performance, "It was a fun week out in Arizona. We played in a very stacked field with regional opponents, which gave us a great idea where we're at. The ladies came to play, tying the program's lowest team score of 297. It was also a huge breakthrough for both Jessica and Natalie, who shot their college career-best rounds. It gives us lots of excitement as we head to the conference tournament in a couple of weeks."

The Warriors now have two weeks off before once again boarding a plane to Las Vegas for the PacWest Conference Championship, hosted at Aliante Golf Club on April 20th through the 22nd.
