ROCKLIN, Calif. - The Jessup University Warriors Women's Volleyball team embarks on an exciting new chapter as head coach Taylor Jacky takes the helm for the upcoming 2026 season. Jacky steps into leadership following a competitive 2025 campaign in which the Warriors posted an 11–13 overall record (5–7 PacWest), anchored by a formidable 8–2 record inside Warrior Arena.

The 2026 campaign kicks off with high-tempo early tournament action at the Sunbird Classic in Fresno (Aug 27–29) and the Redwood Coast Classic in Arcata (Sept 4–5). Jessup returns home to Rocklin on September 11 to open its PacWest home schedule against Vanguard University, setting up an action-packed autumn on the court. Coach Jacky noted that the staff is energized by the team's relentless work ethic during preseason preparation, emphasizing that the focus is on creating a cohesive culture, playing high-tempo volleyball, and maintaining intensity from the opening serve.

This season presents several high-value opportunities to avenge tight 2025 defeats and make significant strides in conference play. The Warriors are particularly eager for rematches against northern rivals despite their exit from the conference in Menlo College, who swept the season series last fall, and Fresno Pacific, who edged out Jessup in a thrilling five-set nail-biter (3–2) in late September.

Additionally, early PacWest homestands against powerhouses like Biola (Sept 12) and Point Loma (Sept 26) give the squad immediate chances to defend their home court—where they excelled last season with sweep victories over opponents like Dominican and UC Merced. Coach Jacky remarked that the team approaches every PacWest matchup as a chance to establish consistency, pointing out that learning how to execute under pressure in tight sets will be the defining factor in taking the program to the next level.

The Warriors' outlook is further strengthened by a balanced mix of proven veterans and an impressive group of incoming talent. To expand the team's tactical options, the Warriors welcome impactful transfers like outside hitter Jadyn Hoffman (Cosumnes River College) and middle/opposite hitter Hailey Byron (Moorpark College) to elevate front-row power.

Local true freshmen also inject key positional versatility and depth, highlighted by libero/defensive specialist Lillian (Lily) Smith (Del Oro HS) and pin hitter/defensive specialist Jayden Jones (Orange Lutheran HS). Coach Jacky added that integrating these talented newcomers has immediately raised the level of competition in the practice gym, with the ultimate goal being for the group to compete with confidence, protect their home floor, and make an undeniable statement in the PacWest race.
