INDIO, Calif. - Jessup men's golf closed out their final match before the conference tournament at the Desert Collegiate hosted by Corban University where a strong showing on day one continued through the final day of competition where they finished tied for sixth in a field of 16 teams.

"I like where we are at as a team," head coach in his inaugural season Matthew Robinson said. "Everyone has a good understanding of what it is going to take to be successful, and I think they are taking the lessons they are learning to heart. I think we are in a good position to win our conference."

After the first round played on Sunday, the Warriors were just 14 over par less the 8 strokes shy of the top-3 teams. The force was led by Dominic Salamone who shot an impressive 73, just one over par, Jacob Custodio was right behind with a 74 finish.

Headed into the final round on Monday, the Warriors didn't come out as strong as their first round but were able to maintain their position midpack finished tied for 6th with conference foes, The Master's University and Menlo College.

With a turnaround performance, Oliver Csanyi shot the round low for the Warriors, 73 to finish tied for 17th overall in the individual race, also joined by Salamone who shot a 79 on the final day of competition.

Competing with three of the six other GSAC teams in this weekend's tournament, the Warriors are even matched headed into the GSAC Men's Golf Tournament hosted by the Warriors at Catta Verdera on April 15-17th.
