ROCKLIN, Calif. - Tonight's women's basketball contest between Jessup and Sacramento State has been canceled. At this time, no makeup date has been announced.
Â
The news comes just a few hours before tonight's scheduled 5 p.m. tip between the Warriors and Hornets. In addition to the cancellation of this evening's game, remaining contests this week at UC Davis and Simpson have been canceled as well.Â
Â
An official statement from the team reads:
Â
"Our game against Sacramento State today and UC Davis tomorrow have been postponed due to contact tracing from a previous contest. There is no update on a potential date for this game to be played at this time."
There are currently no COVID-19 positive cases to report from the Warriors, as the cancellation was made out of caution due to the recent contact.
Â
Coming off a 66-65 loss Saturday afternoon, Jessup was scheduled to play four games in five days, three of which being against opponents at the NCAA Division I level.
Â
The next scheduled contest for the Warriors comes in a week when they travel to play Cal Baptist on Tuesday, December 8. As more schedule adjustments are announced, jessupathletics.com will be providing all of the details.
