NEWBERG, Ore. – The most successful weekend in men's tennis history came to an end on Saturday, as the Warriors wrapped up there long Oregon road trip with two more matches. Taking on Lewis-Clark State and George Fox, Jessup suffered two defeats, but head home feeling good after a .500 trip.
The day started with a match against LC State, as the battle of the Warriors went in favor of the opponents, 7-0. Action ended with Jessup falling 6-1 to George Fox.
This was Jessup's second trip to George Fox, as the program competed there over the fall.
Jessup's lone point on the day came via doubles action, as for the first time all weekend the Warriors took the doubles point.
Roger Wen and
Kadyn Silva won their bout 7-6, and the duo of
Austrebeto Carlon and
Sam Smith were also victorious.
The weekend saw many highs for the second-year program, starting with the first regular season win in program history, coming against Linfield on Thursday.
Jessup will be back in action on February 17 when they host Hope International in Folsom.
