Warriors Leave Southern California with a GSAC Win

Warriors sweep Saint Katherine to pick up their second conference victory; Jessup will visit Holy Names next week

ENCINITAS, Calif. – With a loss yesterday in Claremont to start the road trip, Jessup got back on the court Saturday, taking on a conference opponent. With a sweep across the board, the Warriors took down Saint Katherine to earn their second conference win of the season.

The sweep began in doubles action, as Jessup went 3-0 across doubles play. The duo of Mihnea Secara and Isaac Graves made quick work of their bout, winning the doubles contest 6-0.

Secara added another victory in singles play, starting with another 6-0 victory in the first set. He would take the second set 6-4 to earn the victory. Graves also added another 6-0 victory in the first set of his singles match, followed by a 6-2 victory to claim the straight sets win.

Roger Wen, Sam Smith, and Tanner Sitanggang also produced straight-set victories.

The Warriors will continue competing on the road next week, this time in Northern California when they visit Holy Names University. This aims to be the final meeting between Jessup and HNU, as Holy Names will be seizing operations at the end of the year.

The April 5 match is scheduled for 2 p.m.
