PALO ALTO, Calif. – Jessup's fall schedule continued on Friday as the Warriors visited Palo Alto for a tournament hosted by Menlo College. More low numbers were put up by the Warriors as they continue in year three under head coach
Isaac Sanchez.
Sanchez commented on his team's play, noting, "Both teams did really well on a tricky course. Both teams are going in the right direction, but with that being said, we have a lot of work to do."
The men's team saw the low score come from
Daniel Johnson, who posted 73. All five of the Warriors on the men's side broke 80 for the second tournament in a row.
Others in the field for the Jessup men included
Oscar Gutierrez (76),
Braden Armstrong (77),
Matthew Shimizu (78), and
Ethan Leveque (79). The Warriors also had three individuals in the men's field:
Juan Crespo (80),
Rex Rollins (81), and
Arturo Zavala (90).
The men's team took second with a combined score of 304. Menlo College took first, with Simpson rounding out the field.
The women's field saw
Jessica Burdick post the low round for Jessup with her score of 81.
Julianne Canda (85),
Alyvia Mackey (87),
Macy Anderson (88), and
Ayasha Phillips (103) rounded out the field.
Next on the schedule for the Jessup men is a trip to Chico, as the Warriors will take part in the Chico State Invitational. The Jessup women will continue their year at the TMU Danish Classic, a tournament Burdick won in 2022.
