ROCKLIN, Calif - The new year started on a high note for Jessup as they started conference play 1-0. The Warriors continue upward as they take victory in the GSAC conference opener in the final year in the NAIA.
In a Thursday night matchup in front of a packed house, Jessup secured another home victory against the visiting OUAZ with a final score of 93-68. The Warriors put on a show for the big home crowd here on Mikuni Night.
Jessup moves to 14-1 on the season, 1-0 in GSAC play.
Fresh off of a win to close out the 2023 year, the Warriors lose no momentum going into 2024. Three Warriors put up double-digit points in the momentous victory over the spirit.
Andrea Jovicevic led the way with 23 points, also going 9-10 at the free-throw line.
Makaila Napoleon (20) and
Kayla Vieira (17) found themselves at the top of the leaderboard, respectively.
Jessup outscored their opponent and found themselves ahead in field goal percentage, 3-point shooting percentage, and rebounds. This win keeps the Warriors perfect on home court in Warrior Arena. This victory also keeps Jessup perfect against OUAZ from 2019 to now.
The Warriors have a quick turnaround as they take on Arizona Christina from the Grand Canyon State.
Jessup will take on ACU in a matinee matchup on Warrior Arena with tip-off at 11:00 AM.
