ROCKLIN, Calif. - A Thursday night sought victory for the Warriors as they dominated the Redhawks of Simpson University in a 93-35 victory. Jessup is coming fresh from a road trip win in Turlock against Stanislaus State to end the pre-season for the Warriors.
Jessup is now 4-3 overall on the season with a .571 record before heading into conference play. Jessup just recently made its way into the regional rankings, as the NCAA DII Women's Basketball Media Poll was released on Monday afternoon and is receiving votes in the West Region.
The Warriors outscored Simpson in all four quarters and posted the largest win margin of victory. Jessup would outscore Simpson 41-to-13 after just two-quarters of play. After a quick 15-minute halftime break, Jessup continued their scoring spree, posting 52 points in a combined third and fourth quarters compared to Simpson's 22 points.
Jessup was 72.2% from the free-throw line, going 13-for-18. Andrea Jovicevic was 4-for-4 from the free-throw line, followed by multiple Warriors tallying extra points.
Andheya Aurelio scored 13 points on the night, shooting 5-for-8 to improve Jessup's field goal percentage to 50% overall.

The Warriors will begin PacWest conference play this Saturday in the inaugural NCAA DII season. They will take on Westmont College with a 12:00 PM tip-off. All fans are encouraged to bring a toy, as Jessup will partner with Feed Sacramento Homeless and host a Toy Drive during the game.
