ATHERTON, Calif. – Three consecutive games in the Bay Area have come and gone, with the finale of the trip seeing Jessup visit the Menlo Oaks on Thursday. A 57-37 final in favor of the homestanding Oaks sees Jessup move to 7-7 in conference play.
Overall, in their first Division II campaign, Jessup sits at 8-10.
The Warriors were led in scoring by senior forward
Kayla Vieira, scoring 12 points on 5-of-9 from the floor. Vieira also pulled down four boards.
Makaila Glynn led the rebounding effort with six.
Jessup also saw scoring from
Natalie Moulos with seven points.
Thursday's action saw a draw at the conclusion of the opening quarter, but then the Oaks began to pull away, outscoring Jessup by eight to take the lead into the break. They would then proceed to outscore the Warriors by 12 in the closing 20 minutes.
The Oaks were led by two players in double-figures. Alberte Frisch finished with 11, and Jordyn Rosettte added ten. Menlo shot 34 percent as a team, compared to a 37 percent night out of Jessup.
Now finished with their road trip, Jessup returns home on Saturday for one game inside Warrior Arena before again hitting the road next week. Azusa Pacific will be in town this weekend for a noon start. Tickets are on sale
