ROCKLIN, Calif. - The Warriors returned home for the first time in the new year to take on San Francisco foes of the Academy of the Art. The night would favor the Urban Knights as they defeated the Warriors 56-50.
This loss puts the Warriors at 7-8 overall and 2-5 in conference. It is their fifth consecutive loss.
Jessup played in front of a home crowd for the first home game on Horton Court of 2025 after a three-game road stretch. The Warriors faced another loss tonight, making this the fifth straight loss after their five-game win streak in early December.
The Warriors were up by one after the first period, leading the Urban Knights 10-9. However, the Bay Area squad took the lead in quarter two and continued to improve their lead to win by a final score of 56-50.
The Warriors had 19 turnovers on the night but also forced 20 turnovers from their opponents at the Academy of Art.
Kayla Vieira led the scoring for the Warriors, draining 12 points for the home team. Vieira was 3-for-4 from the free-throw line in her 24 minutes of play on the court.
Jessup will hit the road but return back home on January 25th to take on Dominican University of California at noon. The 25th will be Old Town Pizza Day on Horton Court.
