HONOLULU, Hawaii – A week in Hawaii began with the Warriors visiting the HPU Shark Tank on Thursday. Taking on Hawaii Pacific, Jessup began their week in the Aloha State with an 83-57 loss.
The Warriors are now 9-13 in their inaugural Division II campaign, with their record in PacWest competition moving to 4-10.
Guard
Natalie Moulos led the Warriors in scoring with nine points on 4-of-10 from the field.
Giselle Dogan came off the bench to contribute eight points, while
Kayla Vieira and
Andheya Aurelio each offered six points in their time on the court.
HPU was led by Morgan Hawkins with 16 points. Three other Sharks ended the game in double-figures.
Jessup shot 35.6 percent from the field in Thursday's loss, with their best shooting period coming in the first quarter when they knocked down 6-of-12 for an even 50 percent. HPU finished the game shooting 56 percent, with their best quarter also being the first when they shot a blistering 71 percent on the way to a 26-point performance.
The Warriors will continue their Hawaiian excursion on Saturday when they visit Chaminade. That will be their final game in Honolulu, as they will then head to Hilo to take on the Vulcans.
