ROCKLIN, CA - The Jessup Warriors men's basketball program is excited to announce the addition of
Ben Beauchamp to its coaching staff. Beauchamp, who brings four seasons of experience from Eastern Washington University, will serve as an assistant coach.
"We are fired up to have Ben join our program and the Jessup community!" said Head Coach
Mark Darnall. "He's got great experience at both the NCAA Division I and II levels where he was a part of two championship Big Sky teams. Ben is a tireless worker with a true servant's heart, he is going to have a profound impact on our student-athletes on and off the floor. I consider Ben a utility guy that can do all the job duties it entails to be a great assistant. I can't wait to see how he moves the needle for this program and university."
Coaching Experience
Beauchamp's journey with Eastern Washington began in 2021 as a graduate assistant coach. He quickly earned a promotion to Director of Player Development in 2022, a role in which he was the camp director, led individual workouts, and performed opponent scouting. During his time as Director of Player Development, the Eagles won the Big Sky Regular Season Championship with a 23-11 record.
In 2023, he was promoted again, this time to Assistant Men's Basketball Coach. In this role, he was responsible for on-floor coaching, recruiting, scouting, and film breakdown. His time as an assistant coach was marked by success, including a second Big Sky Regular Season Championship in 2024. He also played a key role in fundraising, leading the team's "6th Man Club" to raise over $130,000 in 2024 and helping it grow to raise over $200,000 in 2025 under new Head Coach Dan Monson.
Prior to his time at Eastern Washington, Beauchamp was the Head Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at his alma mater, Western Colorado University, from 2019-2021. He helped lead the team to their only winning season in 25 years.
As a player, Beauchamp was a standout at Western Colorado, where he was a 1st Team All-Conference player in 2018. After college, he played professional basketball for CB Marbella in Spain.
"I'm thrilled to be joining Jessup University and the strong culture that exists throughout the athletic department," Beauchamp said. "I believe in what Coach Darnall is building within the men's basketball program and I look forward to working with our student athletes and helping them become the best versions of themselves both on and off the court."Â
