Jessup Men’s Basketball Announces Diverse and Talented 2025-2026 Recruiting Class

Head Coach Mark Darnall welcomes 10 recruits as new additions to this year's men's basketball program

ROCKLIN, Calif. – Jessup University Men's Basketball is excited to announce the addition of ten new student-athletes for the 2025-26 season. This class brings a dynamic mix of youth, transfers, and international talent to the program. The incoming class features a variety of sizes, speeds, and skills, poised to contribute to the Warriors' exciting transition to a full-fledged NCAA Division II program.

"We're thrilled about the team we've assembled for the 2025-26 season," said Head Coach Mark Darnall. "With the exciting news of becoming a full-fledged, postseason-eligible NCAA Division II program, our program is ready to compete at the highest level. We had a strong offseason on the recruiting trail and are returning a solid core of players, giving us a great blend of experience and new talent. Travis Timmons, Patrick Frost, Brendan Erickson, and I put in an incredible amount of work to find the right people, on and off the court, to help move this program forward and contribute to our Jessup community."

The 2025-26 recruiting class includes:

Amarlie Wilkinson | 6'0 Freshman Guard | London, England 
Wilkinson joins the Warriors as a true freshman with an impressive international background. As the starting point guard for the Great Britain U20 national team and a champion with Barking Abbey in the EABL, he brings a high level of competitive experience. Accolades for the London native include: Great Britain U20 National Team, EABLI Champions, Division 2 Men's Runner Up, 2X Defensive Player of the Year, 1st Team All Conference EABL, Division 2 U19 Player of the Year, All Conference Division 2.

Darnall Quote: "Amarlie is a true point guard who brings leadership, toughness, defensive intensity, and a well-rounded offensive game. Beyond the court, his great personality will make him a strong addition to the Jessup community."

Marc Cherfan | 6'7 Freshman Guard/Wing | Los Angeles, California 
A skilled Freshman guard from Bishop Alemany High School, Cherfan can score at all three levels, making him a consistent offensive power. His size and length give him great potential to develop into a high-level two-way player. 

Darnall Quote: "As a young, talented freshman, what truly stands out about Marc is his love for the game and the strong work ethic he will bring every day."

Kendall Connor Jr. | 6'8 Freshman Forward | Ontario, Canada 
Coming from Hargrave Military Academy, one of the nation's top prep programs, Connor Jr. is a physical force in the paint. He has the versatility to play inside and out as a modern forward. Kendall is a physical force in the paint with the versatility to play inside and out as a modern forward.

Darnall Quote: "Kendall can score with his back to the basket, operate effectively in pick-and-roll situations, and create plays from both the post and the perimeter. We're excited to start working with him!"

Aleksandar Mitrovic | 6'8 Junior Forward | Belgrade, Serbia 
Mitrovic, a transfer from Indian River State College, is a skilled and versatile forward who can operate both on the perimeter and in the post. His high basketball IQ and excellent vision make him a smart, unselfish playmaker. Achievements include Second Team All-Citrus Conference (NJCAA) and All Academic Team. 

Darnall Quote: "Aleksandar has the ability to put constant pressure on defenses by staying aggressive, using his ability to handle the ball, shoot, and pass effectively for his size. He's a playmaker who makes those around him better."

Andre Norris | 6'4 Senior Guard | Fort Worth, Texas 
A transfer from the University of Hawaii at Hilo, Norris is a gritty two-way competitor who takes pride in his defense. He is one of the best returning defensive players in the PacWest Conference. 

Darnall Quote: "Offensively, he has the ability to put pressure at the rim and knock down shots from the perimeter, which aligns well with our style of play at Jessup. His toughness, experience, and leadership will be a key addition to our young roster."

Varick Lewis | 6'3 Junior Guard | Sacramento, California 
Lewis brings Division I experience from Long Beach State and a strong offensive skill set. As a Sacramento native, he adds local pride to the program. Having competed at the Division I level with Long Beach State and coming in as a former 3-star prospect, Varick brings valuable experience, and as a Sacramento native, he adds local pride to the Jessup program. 

Darnall Quote: "Varick has a strong offensive skill set and can score the ball in a variety of ways, making him a constant threat on the offensive side of the floor. He's a good shooter who can catch fire quickly and change the momentum of a game."

Tom Parsons | 6'7 Freshman Forward | Werris Creek, NSW, Australia 
Parsons brings a creative and skilled offensive game with the ability to handle, pass, and shoot at a high level. He's a threat both on the perimeter and in the post. Memorable achievements for the incoming forward include 2025 Waratah League MVP and 2024 Waratah League All-Star 5. 

Darnall Quote: "Tom brings the kind of versatility we value in the forward position, showcasing a creative and skilled offensive game with the well-rounded skill set to create matchup advantages. His high basketball IQ and vision allow him to elevate his teammates through smart, unselfish play."

Isaiah Koehnke | 6'1 Freshman Guard | Sublimity, Oregon 
A record-breaker from Oregon, Koehnke broke Kevin Love's state scoring record showing his natural ability to put the ball in the basket. The incoming Freshman received First Team All-Conference, First Team All-State, and All-Time career leading scorer in the state of Oregon.

Darnall Quote: "He's a crafty, skilled guard with a scorer's mentality. Isaiah is a tremendous addition to our program and the Jessup community."

Kenechi Onuaguluchi | 6'1 Sophomore Guard | Sacramento, California  
Onuaguluchi, a transfer from Butte College, adds valuable depth to the guard position with his ability to attack downhill and be a consistent threat getting to the paint. The local from Sacramento received the GVC All-Conference Team recognition. 

Darnall Quote: "Kenechi will bring great energy every day and truly embodies the character and work ethic we look for in a player."

Cab Odom | 6'7 Junior Forward | Antelope, California 
A strong, physical forward from Yuba College, Odom makes his presence felt around the rim. As an Antelope native, he brings local toughness and pride to the program. Some of his top noticeable achievements include a Bay Valley Conference Championship in 2023-2024 and being on the team that reached the CCCAA Final Four in 2024. 

Darnall Quote: "He plays with great effort and intensity, and comes from a winning program... Cab is fully committed to the development process we have laid out for him."

Coach Mark Darnall and his team look to put in work with the addition of these 10 newcomers to prepare for their first competition set for November 4th in Warrior Arena against Simpson University.
